The idea behind Wicked is that it a dark infested world with demons,Monsters, and almost anything that has the desire to cause harm to the human population of the world and bring about the downfall of the human population. The humans are however not going to die without a fight, many who are born into the world have some type of past event that drives them. It may have been the death of their family or a loved one that keeps their hatred for demons alive and burning in their hearts. The humans who have decided to take up arms and fight the monsters are that of a Higher order or those who just seek to fight for the hell of fighting and gaining an amount of Gold or prizes from the bounty of killing the monsters they hunt.

It was all quite amusing since his life turned drastically from where he was from when he was a child. It was only a dream to imagine himself setting foot in the court of the king. Blessed be he had a strange bitter after taste for the king, his body still stinged from the thought of accursed Apostate Crusades. He found himself nearly spaced out as he replayed the memories, Bartolomeu glanced about the entrance way once he regained himself. There was still a goal after all. As there was with any meeting of high nobility, it was rather common place for him to pick up the gossip. Gossip was always such a fun little game to play with for the former Apostate slave. He rolled his tongue over the front of his teeth as he stared upward towards outside of the court, his mind wondering for a moment as he knew the task ahead with be a rather headache inducing one. Dealing with nobles and the like was always a bit of a double edged sword, putting up with their bullshit.
Of course, it was not fully his idea to be dragged into this pit. It was to the lady attached to his arm, his date rather. Otherwise you may end up with the half cocked glance or two if you arrive alone. Approaching the entry way to the court, the main admittance point the guard stationed looked up to Bartolomeu. "You're invitation and name?" he inquired as he looked the mage up and down. His attire dressed to the nines as they were, a fine dark blue and his hair slightly less messy then he would usually have it. He felt that his date wouldn't let him live it down if he showed up rather slapped together. "Bartolomeu Badwood, and..." He trailed off, giving his lady a chance to announce herself as he gave a sideways glance to her.
The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers.
Magnolia looked dashing tonight, she was wearing a dress that was made out the finest of silk and cloth. It was glamours for this type of occasion where your looks had to be stunning, this was not just a ball. It was game of crime and politics where everyone had to wear mask that would hide their true face. Magnolia smiled at the man who she was holding on to, she looked up at the gate attendant. She gave the attendant a wicked smirk.
"I'm Madam, Magnolia.. one of the daughters of Lord Beckham."
She looked around the yard to see if anyone was looking at her, she already noticed that some of the guest were other daughters of lords, knights and other high born class members. She could just feel the room becoming full of gossip and chatter about her golden outfit that complimented her partner in crime. She knew that if her date did not play it smart he would be ripped to shreds by the other guest at the part. The gate attendant looked at the invite that was handed to him. He quickly inspected it and handed it back, he then pointed to the path that they should follow when walking inside.
Magnolia pulled out a fan with feathers a opened it, she then noticed one of her friends. It was Sir Jackson, he was not just a friend but an ex-lover of Magnolia. Jackson was with another women who was holding on to his arm. Magnolia started to walk towards Jackson with her guest on her arm, she wanted to get this interaction out of the way and size up the women who was on his arm. She had heard stories about the girl but she did not have any dirt. Which is what Magnolia needed to keep people in there place, when walking towards Jack she smiled and started to speak.
"Sir Jackson, Sir Jackson long time no see. I'm happy you find time out of your busy days to come to the public events, how is work with your father?"
Magnolia really did not care for what he was saying. She was looking the women up and down and noticed the girl was wearing a gold ring, it had a family crest on it. The house of Vlad, came to mind when she saw the ring. It also made Magnolia question why would this women be with Jackson if she was part of the house of Vlad.

Once handed back the invitation, Bartolomeu tucked it into the pocket of his jacket, giving the attendant a false smile along side that of his dates. As he and Magnolia found themselves into the court, the presence of eyes already was off putting. It was a rather dreadful feeling to know that you were gaze upon, and as he glanced around he couldn't help, but catch a few glances. With his one seeing eye, his eye caught a group of young noble women muttering among themselves in the two's direction. It seemed that while Bartolomeu attempted to pull himself together for such a event, Magnolia was rather accustomed to these types of meetings. She looked far more put together and rather more attractive than any of the other ladies that were in the vicinity of them. Perhaps she used a bit of magic to help herself, just a stray thought. Bartolomeu quickly turned his head away as he felt himself being pulled along, his mind hoping that the night would pass by fast.
As she seemed fixated on checking out her own competition, he did the same with this certain Sir Jackson as she referred to him. As he spat out meaningless words, Bartolomeu quickly lost interest in him. The young mage wouldn't bother paying to much mind to him. Whatever sort of relationship Magnolia and he had, it was rather obvious that it was short lived. His vision locked to the female companion at Jackson's side. Her eyes caught his and as they did, Bartomeu looked back to Sir Jackson. "Ah, Lord Jackson is it? Lady Magnolia has told me all about you. Pleased to make the acquaintance. And..." His glance looking once again to the lady beside him. His free arm extending to her as he awaited her giving out her name.
The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers.
Magnolia was just thinking about this women, the question of why a women of the Vlad family would be here. That was when she realized that her guest did not know anything about this person. She needed to get him well informed, she turned and acted like she was looking over her shoulder and that was when she started to tell her partner everything.
In a low tone she whispered, " This women is part of the Vlad family, a group of merchants that sell a lot of goods in the port of Kings Point. She is related to our host, Lord John... it may be by blood or by marriage. This women has a lot of power in how tonight goes."
She turned back to face Sir Jackson, who was still talking and carrying on about how a trade deal of his went up in flames. Magnolia gave a smile because she already knew why it went up in flames. The lady on his arms smiled and kept looking Sir Jackson in the eyes, her gaze was constant. Magnolia could only come to the conclusion that this women was in love with Jackson or that she was using this love affair to make a powerful move in the market, it was speculation at this point but by the end of tonight she would know the answer.
" House of Beckham, is that you. Has your father accepted my marriage request for his oldest daughter, which is you?"
This voice was bold and loud whoever was talking did want everyone to hear, it was the voice of Sir Vlad; a rank four mage who, had in fact requested that he marry the oldest daughter of the Beckham family. The marriage was in fact a big deal due to the fact of his rank and that he only wanted a mage of the same rank. Which the oldest was Magnolia so putting the spot light on her would in fact get the chatter started, she could hear the people now. They whispered amongst themselves, " Why... Madam Beckham... She is so pretty... Who is that Man...The Beckham family are so..."
Magnolia turned and let go of her guests arm, she smiled for the people of the court. Magnolia was on the spot, she turned to face her company trying to find an answer to this question.

Bartolomeu didn't directly know every last man and woman in the court, so of course this lady before the two seemed a oddity to him. He didn't take notice of the ring on her hand either, the clue for Magnolia. He ran his tongue over the front of his teeth as she passed along her information to him. The Vlad family he had heard of before, after all he was one of the overseers of commerce within King's Point. The merchants and himself had another intertwined relationship, the Vlads being one of them that he had known of. He gave his companion a subtle nod to acknowledge the confirmation. The information came rushing back to him, as he recalled looking over documents and the many transactions the Vlad family had done as well as had met in passing once or twice.
The second thing of note that peaked Bartolomeu's interest was the fact she was some how intertwined with the host of such an event. Lord John was someone which he had heard plenty of, and of course he planned to meet with John to pluck his mind. It was curious as why a member of the Vlad Family was some how connected to him, what did she have over him? How everyone and everything tied together strained his mind as he attempted to solve this night like a elaborate puzzle. As if that wasn't enough to complicate tonight, it would seem his companion that dragged him along in the first place grabbed some attention. Not simply just because of her appearance.
Bartolomeu's hand tightened into a fist as someone among the crowded court called out Magnolia. That some was actually someone he had met before, Sir Vlad, a gentleman who apparently had asked for the blessing to marry her. A curious case, as he felt his companion pull away from him. She seemed almost flustered at the statement, it was amusing to him. As she turned to him for guidance, the mage gave her a smile as he leaned into mutter something into her ear. The chatter of standbys continuing as they must wonder who he was doing with someone such as her. "You must not let yourself be so flustered Lady Magnolia, tell me, should we be honest and tell him you do not know? Or rather should I posse as a possible suitor as well." He suggested in a whisper to her ear. As he pulled back, he offered his hand out to take hers. Eventually they should meet up with Lord John as well.
The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers.
Magnolia took in the words on her company, she was indeed flustered with what was just said to her. She was playing the game and knew that anything could happen but this was a bombshell of things she did not expect to happen. She deiced that she was going to bullshit her way through this, she opened her ruby colored lips.
"Sorry my dear Vlad, I'm happy that you find me so lovely and attractive it has me lost for words. It's just that my father has been doing a lot of business in other lands that he has not had time to consult me in this proposal... I've took it upon myself to find a suitable husband." She then looked at her company, she grabbed his arm "This is Sir Badwood a Magical Engineer, he has managed to intrigue me. His crafting talents did a least." she gave a small laugh.
She put her left hand on his chest, and whispered into her companies ear " You are now established, I hope you are ok with that. I'm truly trying to say is that everything you say from this point on will be open for personal interpretation. The words you use and say will change how they view you, actions will be even more critical."
Sir Vlad approached, he was now eyeing her company up and down. His facial expression was questioning because he knew for a fact that her father had been in town and that he had a personal meeting with him. Magnolia knew this also.
" Well, Madam Magnolia when ever you are ready to talk to me on a more personal level we can. Your beauty holds no bounds a man could not help himself but to get to know someone of your caliber." He reached out and grabbed her hand kissing it.
The court went up in a flurry of whispers, they had so many questions and this night had only begun. That was when the music in the room changed and the group playing started playing Song of Orlais . Magnolia whispered to her company quickly
" Act fast, he could ruin you before you even get started with this one action."
Bullshit she did, as in one mere statement now found himself to be her husband. Not such a terrible thing to have, but now the fact that he was under the eye of the entire court wasn't the issue. The issue was this Sir Vlad, who seemed to still be attempting to woo and humiliate the newly found married duo. His own teeth biting into a part of his cheek as thought his way around this game. It all seemed to be rather elaborate and more frustrating the more that time passed, and they still had not found Lord John. His main target of intrigue, not this Vladmir who attempted to outplay the former apostate.
As she fell back into his reach again, she could feel a slight squeeze as Bartolomeu audible heard her announce him as husband. Flashing a small smirk to Sir Vlad and the rest of the patrons, he laid his free hand against hers as she whispered into his ear once again. Selling and finances were something he was good at, and he did sell to make it appear that he and Magnolia were close. It surely was a simple task to convince the patrons with their murmuring and scheming, but perhaps Sir Vladmir would be tougher to sell. And with a way of words and a kiss of her hand, Bartolomeu felt compelled to smite Sir Vlad where he stood, but he withheld.
He had known enough about Sir Vlad, just as he did he too served during the times of the Apostate Crusade. But as soon as Magnolia finished her sentence, Bartolomeu let out a low chuckle. "Ah, my dear Magnolia always did have a way of selling me a bit short. But I am not just a magical engineer, I also am a overseer of commence within King's Point. Which means, I also overlook you and your dealings as well as others, Sir Vlad." He said pronouncing his full station, while not such a high rank in caliber of being a powerful mage, he was however above him as per a normal citizen and that was no false statement. Even if he and his family did whole a large about of sway as merchants. As members inside the court caught on, Bartolomeu's mouth grew wide as he gestured to Magnolia. "I can say that I do agree that Magnolia is quite the finest of young ladies to know, it is quite a shame for you Vladmir. I myself found it rather.... passé to shall we say... beat around the bush."
He seemed to glance over to Magnolia, finding his statement rather pleasing as to one-up over this attempted suitor Vlad. Clasping a hand over Magnolia's that rested on his arm, he looked over Vladmir once more, his own shoulders feeling perhaps more broader and his tone exuding more confidence. "Now we must be of course meeting finally with our host, it would be in poor taste not to greet him as well. You have a goodnight Sir Vladmir." He said before giving a small bow of his head to the fellow magical user as the two left his sight in the crowd of many guests.
The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers.
The court room went up in whispers, Magnolia was happy that her company had come to play the game. She gave a wicked smile, she looked around the room and she could see Lord John. He was really dashing, he really had not made his true introduction to the party but he was talking to a lot of guest so that knew he was in the room. Magnolia also heard people whispering his name and saying that he is wearing his legendary black diamond ring. The music stopped then the room of people focused their gaze on a man who was yelling.
"People of the Court, I'm here to introduce our beloved host Van Vlad John the leader of the Vlad family."
The people of the court started clapping and whispering, the lights seemed to focus on where he was standing. He waved and started to speak,
" Thank you coming out tonight, I know it took me a while to make an appearance. I was picking out my outfit I wanted to look dashing, who knows I may even find a women whom I might want to marry tonight" he gave a quick smirk and chuckle. The people chuckled also, they only seemed to react to display a sense of normality in the court room and to show respect. " I'm no longer going to take up your time, but I do wish to dance with a lot of you so save me a dance." He gave a wink behind his red and black mask. This time the room bursted into an applause and women were grinning in hopes of catching the eye of lord John. Magnolia would have been also but she noticed that the lord was using a charming spell on a few of the guest.
She grabbed her guest close, " Hey don't look at his ring, it uses magic to charm people." She then turned and started to walk with her company to explore the room and talk with a few other guest. She pointed out some artwork on the walls of the room and sculptures in the room, "This place seemed to have grown in size... the amount of artwork I mean." She turned to face her company, " Hey, I think you should go socialize with a few of the other guest. I mean you do want to get some type of funding for yourself?"
Playing the game was trivial, but still a pain in the ass. Just dealing with those of a high noble status were simply nauseating to deal with. Some of the people in the very room likely never had to work for anything they had. Not their fancy dress, shoes or jewelry. The thought of it all made the young mage chew on the tip of his tongue. It was his believe that they should all go through having to earn their place, one way or another. This whole game as it were was ease, yet still a constant reminder that he would never truly be established among the hierarchy in King Point. Bartolomeu's own running thoughts distracting him from the fact he had made a small uproar of whispers.
His hand still over Magnolia's as the two made their way through the many herds of noble sheep, until the music halted. All eyes were toward the man of the hour, Lord John, Bartolomeu's attention was half on the man they were looking for, the other half of his gaze was towards other guests. His own curiosity as to see if any other merchant families decided to make a appearance. It was a typical speech, if he wasn't trying to blend into the crowd Bartolomeu would have yawned half way through. What a cookie cutter, pathetic noble. A shame he would have to talk to him at some point in the night.
The young mage felt drawn in by Magnolia once again, his own imagination wondering if for a moment it was to whisper sweet nothings to him. He gave a subtle nod of confirmation, he wasn't even charismatic to even charm beautiful women naturally. Oh the depths of which Lord John had to sink to. If Magnolia opening shared her interest in the Lord, Bartolomeu would be truly shocked of his supposed mistress. The subject quickly shifted as she suggested them to separate, as for him to gain supporters of his work. The one eyed man gave out a small chuckle as he held onto a free hand of Magnolia. "If you're really insistent on getting rid of me, my lady. Perhaps i'll go speak to Lord John myself. Personally I don't see his big appeal...maybe it's just his looks?" He gave it half a thought, then turned his gaze from the empty space back to Magnolia. "If I do have to leave for a bit of time, just make sure you keep your distance from Sir Vlad. He is..." Bartolomeu gave himself a pause as he gave a light squeeze of Magnolia's hand as he held it. "...A annoyance."
The mage gave Magnolia a solid stare in hopes she would follow through with his demand. Like he needed a even bigger target on his back if he had to embarrass Vlad for a second time. Just as he had a interest in Lord John, surely with the spread of Bartolomeu's actions through the room, he was on Lord John's radar as well. "I will return, my wife." He gave a small wink to her as he dipped into a bow, pressing his lips to the back of her hand. Before stepping away and making headway towards where Lord John's last appearance.
