making spells & skills
this is how you do it!--
it's simple; all you have to do is compose threads that will display the time your character spent learning, training with, and gaining competency with the technique. Now, I understand that these are mages who use magic and have varying levels of proficiency with it, some more than others. Your job as an RPer is to simple show the logic that you had which made you come up with a technique, or the logic required needs to be given to your character allowing them to learn (insert technique name). It's pretty simple, or at least I think so.
Depending on your character's rank and the set up of your character skills, some stuff can be learned easier than other things. For example, a level 3 mage could make six threads which are spread out over a three week interval (IC) and that would me enough to show that they learned the technique, providing they write what they had to write properly. I am not saying it requires that many threads to do so, but it wouldn't hurt. For a level 10 or 15, less work would be required for certain, although the higher the rank of the spell/skill...the more work you're going to probably need.
Upon going to actually register your techniques after gathering all the training you think you need for it, make sure to post a link to every thread where you trained with the technique.
how do you calulate your skill and spell damage you ask? well you take your Wis(spells) or Str(skills) stat +(modifer) and do that number times 2 and add it on to the base dps of your spell/skill. [15 is base spell/skill dmg]
Lvl 2 skills or spells do 30 dmg
Everytime your skill/spell Ranks up you get +15dmg added on.
Example:
if my wis is 8 And my str is 8 you take 8 x 2 = 16... now it’s 16 + 15 = 31 dps 31 skill/spell dmg
note: create a new post in this board with your Lastname, first name [spellname] when you're finished post in staff notication for a staff member to check your spells/skills. Once approved your thread will be moved into your character profile. In the future if you would like to add more or to improve/upgrade a spell/skill post in staff notications with the link of your spell sheet and what you're adding/ improving. However in that post you have to link threads where you improved such skill/spell or obtained an new one.
