The human population has maintained it’s status at the top of the food chain, they felt as if they were superior to all other creations. It was blissful and it seemed that mankind only had to survive. However human nature itself is a wicked thing, and with that nature it will make cause for conflict, it turned friends into foes, caused wars that could not be stopped into domination was assured. It caused for humans to turn to dark places in search for the power to slay and kill their enemies, the idea of peace was only a fallacy in the minds of people who did not cling to war.

The Apostate War or Mage War , was a war where many apostates were forced into service or slavery under the king's rule and were treated less then human. The apostate to the normal eye would not have been seen as a threat. However to the king they where, they swayed people into believing that they are descendants from the old gods, making them the most holy of all humans who walk the lands. The people of the land treated them like gods due to this fact. The king did not need them to be labeled as most holy as he was the king and above all others. The king was also known for his divine acts, it was rare to be born with the gift. During his reign he started the Mage Decree , which was a set of rules that labeled ever mage to register themselves in service to the kingdom. It was his attempt to control them which it soon turned into the Apostate Crusade . The crusade for the hunt of apostates, it was then that he took advantage of human nature and he would turn the common man against mages. He tortured many mages and made them obey him. If a mage was to rebel he would kill them and would often due it as public execution, it was made made public to display his will and complete control. Which to most Apostates the idea of death was better than being enslaved or reduced to a life lower than the common man.

The idea of what made apostates special was the idea that they could use gifted talents, which seemed to be blessings or worked as blessing. The act of opening the skies and channeling rain, controlling wind, bending water to obey at the motion of a hands wave. It was never seen before and was mystic, the healing of others and all mystic acts that apostates did made the apostates seem like gods and having an apostate was a blessing to have. When apostates become enslaved, they turned to dark places to gain help. (That help was soon labeled as the First Compact or First Event ); it was one of the many downfalls of mankind. The compact was the birth of Humans who had Demon blood; Half Human,Half Demon. They gotten the blood from the first Demon, who already hated mankind and wished for their total damnation. Apostates had fallen to dark places, and with each apostate that had fallen and turned to his blood , death has followed them they say that for each Half-Demon a thousand humans or so are killed. The human population was reduced, and the only safe place was behind the walls of Kings Point.

Lesser Demons had their birth and many other monsters came into existence, all born from mankind's hate for one another. They also come from experimenting on normal creatures, infusing there blood with demons and other wicked things. The more monsters they create the more human kind has to fear, they say that the first demon is still alive and that he sleeps and awaits for his time to strike. They also say that he may have been the old king who vanished.

When the old king vanished many of the laws changed, the church took over and made it so that the Apostate hunts stopped, they also raised them back to normal common citizen ranks. The apostates that were not dead left the city of King’s Point due the bad blood. They also feared and turned there backs on the city. It was too soon many things where being question about their true standings in society. The Apostates that did stay, formed ranks in the government under the church. Which allowed many of them to have jobs that normal citizens could do.
